t would be my honor to be a part of your healing journey back to yourself. Genevieve approaches counseling as a partnership, with the client as the expert of their own life. She believes strongly in the importance of connection and that fostering a kind and supportive environment is the key to building a trusting partnership on a journey to positive and sustainable change. Utilizing an eclectic tool kit of resources- her clinical approach is grounded in person-centered and strengths-based theory with the use of an array of tools including EMDR, neuroscience, and somatically based interventions. Genevieve earned her Master’s degree in clinical Social Work from the University of Toledo and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University in International Affairs and Political Science. Prior to joining Karuna House, she has gained experience working in private practice as well as the field of co-occurring disorders as a member of an integrated substance use disorder treatment team. She has expanded familiarity in the treatment of an array of mental health diagnoses from various clients of diverse backgrounds. Genevieve is passionate about the care and treatment of members of our military and first responder communities. Genevieve is the co-developer, lead liaison and client care coordinator of first responder treatment at Karuna House, as well as the point of contact for client treatment.
